Cairo – Mubasher: Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) and the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Mohab Mamish on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China's Tianjin Municipality for the development of the second phase of TEDA Industrial Zone.
Under the protocol, a 6-kilometre area will be utilised for the building of developed industrial areas at SCZone, according to a statement.
The project will create a minimum of 25,000 jobs in 9 industrials areas at SCZone, the statement added.
Situated on 7.34 square kilometres, the Egyptian-Chinese industrial zone in Ain Sokhna (TEDA) is planned to include a motorbike company, a textiles city, and a logistics centre.
